If you have Powermad 3.x installed already, don't use this mod! It's included in Powermad already. By using it nevertheless, you may break other features of Powermad, especially if you're using version 3.62+.

In the original Painkiller, screen language depends on the painkiller cd that is located in your cd/dvd drive. That means if you've got an english painkiller cd, the language will be English, if you've got a german one, language will be German and so on. Although there's a language entry in the config file, it has no function. Any value you will assign to it will be discarded.
This modification changes behavior of the game and determines the used language by the config file entry. This is in particular useful if you want to post (english) screenshots, because there might be some people who aren't capable of reading czech or russian from your localized version :-).

Just copy the file "Cfg.lua" from the zip-archive into the following directory:

[Your painkiller installation folder]\Data\LScripts\Main

Usually (after a clean installation of Painkiller and the offical patches), there's no "LScripts" folder in your "Data" subdirectory. You have to create it by yourself and another subfolder named "Main". Copy the file into that folder. That's all. You may instantly use the method described below to change languages.
Note: Installation instructions are also included in the downloaded package.

Just delete the file "Cfg.lua" from the folder described in the installation instructions and everything behaves like before.

To switch between different languages, use your painkiller config file:

[Your painkiller installation folder]\Bin\config.ini

Open it with a text editor (like notepad) and search for the line that says
