I uploaded version 1.3 of Powermad for Overdose just a few minutes ago. It only works with Overdose version 84. If you want to use Powermad with the retail version of Overdose (v. 75), you have to stick to Powermad 1.2. The new version still contains some bugfixes for Dead Marsh, Ragnarok and Riot, and I've also added a new feature to disable Belial's idle talk. The Ragnarok benchmark had a glitch in it that caused the last bunch of barrels to explode too early sometimes - this also has been fixed. Install Powermad 1.3 and have fun with the best Overdose ever! |

Upcoming Powermad 1.3 and Savegame Compactor |
|
Donnerstag, 31 Januar 2008 |
After being busy for the last weeks, I started working on Powermad 1.3 today. This version is just an update release that will make Powermad compatible to version 84 of Overdose. Things are proceeding well, although I have only around one third of the required work done. Since Powermad has a lot of features now, new versions require a lot of testing. I also have to check every bugfix if it's still needed. The Overdose patch uses a lot of Powermad's fixes, but unfortunately not all of them. It also introduces a few new bugs or failed to completely fix existing ones. Stay tuned and be patient... the result will be a well polished version of Powermad.
I also uploaded a corrected version of the Savegame Compactor for Painkiller that fixes a small bug regarding the renaming folders feature. Thanks Shauqie for pointing that out. And for all who keep asking: you don't need this tool for Overdose, there's no such bug in this game. I enabled analyzing the savegame folder of Overdose in this release so you can see for yourself :-). |

I just uploaded Powermad: Overdose version 1.1. You can find it on the Powermad: Overdose page as usual. As I wrote before, this version contains some more bugfixes, backtracking enabled for the following levels: Japanese Massacre, Loony Park, Nuclear Plant, Riot, Asteroids and Air Combat as well as some new features, including the new pmfreedom command (you did check the Powermad page for the trailer, did you?). |

Powermad: Overdose has almost reached 1,000 downloads... time for a new version :]. The biggest change is multiplayer compatibility, which means that you don't have to move folders or even uninstall Powermad anymore when you want to play online. Another new feature is the new benchmark for Overdose. Since Overdose doesn't bring one, I thought it would be nice to have one :-). Use "benchmark ragnarok" at the console. Version 1.2 also adds the loading times hack from Goran (saves up to 50%!) and adds "pmdifficulty" to dynamically switch difficulty levels. |
